Now that I live alone and have to work with having only 2 local channels in my television set, most of the time I have no choice but to watch local TV shows and advertisements. Now that I do, I feel I have the right (more like, I now have the time) to express my opinion (meaning my disappointment, amusement, annoyance, my liking and/or appreciation) about what I see, hear and read.
Call me self-righteous, I don’t care. I’d rather be bitchy sometimes than bored.
Let’s Begin!
For the record, I really have an issue with “recycled” or copied advertisements (more than recycled TV shows). Why? Because I feel (and partly know) that people in the advertising and marketing industry are paid well to think of new and creative ways to market the brands that have been entrusted to them. Therefore they owe it to their clients and to the viewing public to come up with mind blowing, awe inspiring commercials.
1) I HATE that Nestea Ad (copied from COCA COLA)
I swear if I see that “NICO” guy in person I might just hit him out of annoyance. Aside from the fact that it was so obvious that they copied it from a previous softdrink ad (ni hindi man lang pinalitan ang keyword na “IBUHOS”), it was dragging and had the poorest script.
“Ang ilong naman nya, to the left, to the left. Although ang smile nya, meron.” Merong ano?!!? They could have atleast tried to make it flow well.
And it had to be a series!? OMG. I thought I would only need to bear with it during Christmas season, but N-O, they were so “brilliant,” they continued it on for New Year. With the same family and that same annoying “Nico!” Can I just say that the girl he seems to be crazy about is not even that GORGEOUS!
2) Mara Clara
It will always be JUDY ANN SANTOS and GLADYS REYES.
The fact that most Filipinos know the story, (di lang soap opera may movie pa) makes the whole recycling and re-doing it oh so questionable.
Because of the major pressure that will put on the stars, you would think the production and management would carefully choose the stars that will play the main characters, right? I think they have failed in this one.
I don’t have a major opinion on the “new” Mara, which should say a lot. She’s okay, she can cry and sometimes nakakaawa but I’m looking for Judy Ann. The Clara is a classic *bleech* 
3) BOY ABUNDA on PIOLO
Utang na Loob, tigilan ang pag-announce sa SNN na labis mong pinagnanasaan si Piolo. Nakakadiri, pramis! Sa pandidiri ko, di ko na kayang I expound. Ew!
4) TIM YAP
No your birthday dance number last Sunday was NOT COOL! It was a combination of nagmumurang kamatis meets trying hard to be cool. Intsik ka di Koreano. And ano ka, 16? Bakit ka nagkK-Pop?
FYI, we haven't forget how you irresponsibly posted somebody’s name to have won the grand lotto making his life a security issue now. Don’t you dare think I forgot!

I miss GRAZILDA. I am so looking forward to RegineV's comedy musical show. Atleast that one tries to be new, in the Philippine TV industry that is.
